Our weapons are “mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high
thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to
the obedience of Christ”, 2Co 10:4-5
Strong holds are mental bonds that govern our actions. We have been brainwashed by the system of
man, which is under the control of the devil. It effects every aspect of society. It is ultimately
against the plan and righteousness of God. It can only be dealt with and exposed by the Word of
God.
Some claim that the love of God is all that is important. And it is! But that love is rooted in
obedience to God’s Word. The love of God is that we keep His commandments. But, most importantly,
walking with God means that we are captured mentally as well as emotionally. The spiritual person
is truly spiritual. His mind and affection are on spiritual things. This world ultimately means
nothing to him because he knows better. It is not a hatred of the world as it is an intense
love of God. This attitude always pays a reward. May the Lord help us in our decision to follow him.
